Beaufort County Health Department Finds Reward In Quality Improvement Project

As one of the four local health departments pilot testing the Area Health Education Center's (AHEC) QI 101 course, Beaufort County is leading the way in applying QI in public health. In starting this project, their aim was to improve health and wellness outcomes of mothers and infants in Beaufort County by promoting breastfeeding among Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) clients at the Beaufort County Health Department.
