We are excited to announce that the second cohort, Wave A, of QI training at the Division of Public Health (DPH) is underway. Thanks to the groundbreaking cohort of the pioneer groups (Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Branch, NC Vital Records, NC Tobacco Prevention and Control Branch, and NC Institute for Public Health), a solid foundation for the DPH QI 101 program has been established.

An information session for Wave A was held on February 1^st to orient DPH staff to the DPH QI 101 application process, provide program expectations and discuss the importance of leadership support in implementing QI.  The next phase for the teams selected for this wave will be to attend the Wave A Kickoff Meeting on March 22^nd from 9am-4pm.  Look out for updates in upcoming newsletters announcing the teams chosen and their QI project selections.
